The Realness

It’s a big day for Johnson – he’s up before the parole board and this time it’s going to be different. He’s facing the realness and ready for a new life.

1. Vibesin’

(Prisoners & Johnson)

Finally free and out on the road Johnson bumps into the young gangsta side kick of his old rival Leroy. So now Leroy knows he’s out and there’s unfinished business to be settled…

Next, Johnson visits his girlfriend Shanice. But he doesn’t get the warm welcome he expected after all this time.

2. Turn Around

(Shanice & the Pramettes)

The only way Johnson can get back in with Shanice is if he gets Leroy off his back. So he heads round to his nephew Anthony’s social club. He needs to borrow his car and get out to Luton to dig up his brother’s garden and get back Leroy’s gun. But first there’s an irate Traffic Warden to deal with.

3. Ticket Machine

(Traffic Warden & cast)

When Johnson’s brother finds him digging up the garden he threatens to call the police. Johnson’s sent packing – with a wad of cash and instructions never to come back again. Thwarted, but with an unexpected windfall, Johnson returns to Anthony’s club where there is a Ragga dance that night. He can’t resist the temptation to “splash the cash”. But Shanice remains unimpressed.

Johnson’s world starts to unravel when he discovers he’s the father of Shanice’s baby. He’s then humiliated and beaten up by Leroy’s henchmen.  Johnson legs it and ends up at his lowest ebb, back in a crack den.
