OC London’s chief executive Danny Kruger says:

“We are ambitious to expand OC London’s portfolio of programmes, partnering with effective projects across the city which support young people and reduce crime. I am delighted to be taking forward the work of My Generation - a fantastic local charity which has made a big impact on young people in the area. We look forward to working with residents to develop our plans for My Generation.”

ABOUT MY GENERATION

My Generation is a youth charity in north Kensington, west London. It was started in 2006 by Shaun Bailey, a youth worker who grew up in the area, and delivers projects supporting young people with education, employment and personal development.

Shaun says “My Generation aims to break the cycle of poverty, crime and ill-health in struggling communities, through people-centred sustainable change.”

In 2012 Shaun was appointed an adviser to the Prime Minister and left My Generation to work full time in 10 Downing Street.

The name, assets, intellectual property and goodwill of My Generation have now been acquired by the OC London group. Shaun continues as an adviser to OC London.

OUR PLANS

My Generation will be conducting a ‘listening exercise’ in February and March 2012, hearing from young people, businesses, police and other residents and discussing ideas to take the programme forward.

We want to hear from anyone with an interest in the future of the neighbourhood - what’s already great about north Kensington, what the area needs, what young people want to do, how My Generation can help.

We will be posting news on this site and tweeting regularly to keep everyone informed of what we’re up to.
